This is so stinking simple and amazingly delicious! We had a loaf of crusty bread that was in dire need of some love, so I thought that some garlic bread was a winning idea…. Until I remembered this was in my cabinet:
Yes, that is a ridiculously large container of everything seasoning. I blame prime. I am sure there are plenty of recipes for making your own, but this is not where we are today.
I sliced up that loaf of bread. I melted a stick of butter, dipped both sides of the bread in the butter and sprinkled with everything seasoning. After a few minutes in the oven, I present to you the crunchiest, tastiest, makes you crave a bagelist side dish on the plate: everything bread.
(Side note: I am not here for fancy. I just want to share)
Everything Bread
1 loaf crusty bread
1 stick butter
1-2 tsp everything seasoning*
Preheat the oven to 400. Slice bread into 1 inch slices. Melt the butter in a shallow dish in the microwave. Dip bread in butter on both sides, do this quickly as to not saturate bread with butter. Place of a sheet tray and repeat with remaining slices. Sprinkle everything seasoning over slices and bake at 400 for 8 minutes. Flip bread and sprinkle with seasoning. Bake for 5 minutes more, remove from oven and serve.
*Recipe works just fine with garlic powder.
Give it a try next time you have some day old bread hanging out on the counter, you won’t regret it!
